DD is getting Kit for Christmas. After looking at the AGOT I told her, jokingly, that she should get one to be Ruthie. Now she's on a mission to save $ and buy one. She already had $20 & dh just gave her $10 for her mailbox that we sold on Ebay (anyone read THAT thread? [img]eek.gif[/img] )
Big question...Which AGOT looks most like Ruthie? DD says she has brown eyes. They have no brown eyed girl without bangs. What's the next best thing? We saw a cute one w/ bangs (newbie here...I don't know her # [img]redface.gif[/img] )
It will be interesting to see what you guys think.

P.S. I was out selling/picking up at our local children's consign. store & saw AG on a box...my heart about stopped. Alas, it was a Hopscotch Hill set & not anything I could use. It does o.k. on Ebay (checked as soon as I got home!), but not well enough for me to go back & buy it.
I think she has blue eyes actually. The best Ruthie so far I think is AGT 17 with red hair and blue eyes. AGT 23 and AGT 7 make okay Ruthies, too. They have light brown hair and blue eyes. My AGT 7 in my avatar is actually a temporary Ruthie for me, and though she's traveling right now, she makes a good Ruthie for me! Though I will get the new Ruthie when she's released!

Thanks for your reply. I'm trying to wait til' Christmas whenn dd will receive her Kit book set & then we can see how Ruthie is described/pictured. It's not very easy (the book) to get to at this point [img]wink.gif[/img] I love your traveling Ruthie! Just too cute. [img]smile.gif[/img] I think my dd just wants her to have brown eyes because they would match her's. [img]tongue.gif[/img] No, she really thought they looked dark in one of the pics.

It took me a while to figure out the numbers, too. The numbers come out of their order number, but I don't have them memorized either.
I like AGOT 23, because I just like her, but I have heard several people say she'd be a good Ruthie.
So does your dd *know* that she is getting Kit for Christmas, or just expecting??

I think AGT 23 is just adorable, but dd seems to think that one blue eyed, freckled doll will be enough (Kit, which Santa is bringing [img]wink.gif[/img] ) She is really leaning toward AGT 13. I told her whatever she wants to make her Ruthie look like will be fine. She started counting her stashed $ (which I did not know she had this much already [img]confused.gif[/img] ) and has been dancing around today singing, "I have $45 and I'm gonna' get a Ruthie". If word gets out she wants cash for Christmas I'm sure one of her four Uncles will oblige. Help, we are sliding down the slippery AG slope! DD uses her AGT7 as Ruthie. She actually got 7 first and when Kit came along, the unnamed 7 became Ruthie. It works out good for her because of the no freckles, so we had to contend with the fact that the book Ruthie has no bangs, but ours does.
Still waiting to see if AG does a friend doll for Kit. If they do, I will let DD decide what to do with 7.
